Collection “Cars of our roads”, 2024

Collection “Cars of our roads”, author M. Sokolov.  This is the 12th book in the “Cars of Our Roads” series, with the same name, since it is a collection of several materials on different topics, although they overlap with each other:

• The 1st section for the first time reveals to the domestic reader the history of the International KR-11 dump trucks, which were supplied from the USA during the Second World War and then had a great influence on the products of seven Soviet automobile factories.
• The 2nd section is devoted to practically unknown modifications of the ZIS-151 and ZIL-164 trucks with a 4x4 wheel arrangement, as well as the reasons for their appearance in the USSR.
• The 3th section tells about the emergence of the stylish appearance of the legendary Studebaker US6, in particular the progressive design of its cabin; about, without exaggeration, the gigantic influence of this “American” on all Soviet post-war trucks; about what the NAMI/UlZIS/NAZ-253 samples were collected from, and why the project was initially a “failure”; about how the UralZIS-355M was unlucky; about what the GAZ-51 and GAZ-63 actually were (for the first time, a truly objective assessment of these trucks and their modernizations is being given, which is strikingly different from the usual) and about the features of their export; about foreign “clones” of the GAZ-51/63 in Poland, China and the DPRK (for the first time - about the incredible variety of different Chinese versions); in a word, about how the cabin and other components of the Studebaker, with the help of the USSR, traveled almost the entire globe.
• The 4th section adds a lot of new and interesting things to the books about the “Two Hundredth” MAZs and MAZ-501/502, including further revealing the mystery of the origin of the YaAZ-200/205.
• The 5th section introduces the original Ural hooded bus based on the ZIS-5 with a streamlined body of the Leningrad type.

The book is richly illustrated with archival photos, most of which are published for the first time. 386 pages, 297x212 mm format, 386 pages. The circulation is 180 copies in 2024. A new book, constant supplies.

Сборник «Автомобили наших дорог», автор  М. Соколов. Это 12-я книга серии «Автомобили наших дорог», с одноименным названием, поскольку она являет собой сборник нескольких материалов по разным темам, хотя и перекликающимся между собой:

• 1-й раздел впервые открывает отечественному читателю историю самосвалов «International KR-11», поставлявшихся в годы ВОВ из США и оказавших затем большое влияние на продукцию сразу семи советских автозаводов.
• 2-й раздел посвящен практически никому не известным модификациям грузовиков ЗИС-151 и ЗИЛ-164 с колесной формулой 4х4, а также причинам их появления в СССР.
